Independent Reading

If you know anything about Aliyah, you know that she loves books.
Loves them. She's more and more interested in caring for dolls, still enjoys coloring, etc., but "reading" remains her favorite activity. So lately we've been collecting lots of sweet & hilarious footage of Ali reading--all candid. Here's a little snipit for ya. (It's a minute & a half, but it was hard to cut it down this short! :)
This clip is kind of funny because she's doing some cute experimentation with a new "word." It think it might be "soft." (We've taught Ali to touch us softly on the cheek; so she loves to show us frequently how she knows to touch "soft" while gently stroking her own cheek.) It's so interesting to watch her learning & apparently enjoying the process. We hear a lot of joyful rehearsing of words. I love this language burst!!! Too cute & sooooo handy!
