Farm Fun

We had an excellent trip to a real farm today. Ali was sooooo psyched to go apple picking, which we thought we were going to join other friends in. Alas, we weren't able to meet up, and I wasn't going to buy a whole bag of apples to the surplus we already have. Thankfully, the farm was gracious to let us "pick" one each off the ground, and the kiddos were gracious enough to think that that was really fun. :) As you can see, another highlight was a pony ride. Ali's first. I was so so proud. Another little girl before her got cold feet just as she was being lifted onto the pony. My often skiddish Ali, was awesome! Giggled and beamed with delight the whole time. Very very special. Theo, as you can see from the collage, was moderately content to watch her in amazement from his stroller. We enjoyed a hay mountain, toddler maze, and even a tractor derby. Ali eagerly tried some of the bigger tricycles, but alas, she doesn't have the coordination to ride one. We've never had one, nor the space, to practice on one. Even so, she was so excited when she found a nice little push-along model. A fun morning, finished with picking our own pumpkins and of course cider donuts. Yum!
