Day is Done Medley, with God is So Good & Jesus Loves Me

Just as Aliyah experienced a language explosion about 15 months of age, we're sort of experiencing a singing explosion now at one month shy of 2 years old. She sings all the time & usually in long medleys of related & unrelated songs. Twinkle Twinkle and the ABC's are generally her favorites, but she has quite the impressive repertoire. It seems that she's just been filing away the hundreds (thousands?) of songs (thanks to my mom & girl scouts!) I've sung throughout our days together. Good morning songs, clean up songs, silly or spiritual, Ali enjoys them all.
Alas she generally gets shy when I try to capture her singing joy on video. Fortunately, this morning she was moderately happy to oblige my filming. It cracked me up when one evening as we were getting ready for bed, Ali just busted out with ALL the words to this song. She'd joined in a phrase or two in the past, but this was on her own and complete. Since then, it's a favorite, but she prefers to sing it in the morning.
One of the most precious things about Ali is she just loves life. Loves it. It grieves her little heart to see a day end. Each day is filled with so many fun and special moments, it's a real exercise in faith for her to trust us that tomorrow will be a new day filled with new opportunities and adventures. Thus, singing Day is Done at the end of the day is sometimes just too painful for our sweet little lover of life.
